Botox
Botox® (Botulinum Toxin) is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for reducing dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated facial muscle movements. It softens expression lines while preserving natural facial expressions, resulting in a refreshed, youthful appearance without looking overdone.
About the Procedure
Botox works by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles responsible for the formation of expression lines. Careful assessment and precise dosing allow targeted treatment while maintaining natural movement and facial harmony.
Botox is commonly used to treat:
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines (Glabellar lines)
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
- Gummy smile
- Preventative treatment for early expression lines
The procedure is quick and minimally invasive, usually taking 15–20 minutes. No anesthesia is required, although a topical numbing cream may be applied if desired. Patients can return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
Recovery & Possible Complications
There is little to no downtime following Botox treatment. Mild redness, swelling, or small bruises at the injection sites may occur but typically resolve within a few hours or days.
Results begin to appear within 3–7 days, with the full effect visible after approximately two weeks. The results generally last 3–5 months, depending on individual muscle activity and metabolism.
Regular maintenance treatments can help prevent the progression of expression lines and maintain a naturally youthful appearance over time.
